Seanan Collins is a recent graduate of Heriot Watt University. Hailing from rural Ireland, his designs are characterised by a creative response to personal experiences reflecting on his heritage and culture. With a developed appreciation of textural fabrics and artisan techniques reinvented to appeal to a modern market, the designs of Seanan Collins are contemporary and conceptual.

It was whilst attending a rural catholic school, that Seanan began to grow interested in art and design and within a small, secular community developed methods of adapting traditional aspects of art and fashion in order to create an individual sense of style and design aesthetic. Through studying Art History and Art Seanan continued to hone his skills and refine his aesthetic whilst growing more educated in the fields. Interning with various photographers and artists offered Seanan first hand experience into the realm of fashion and design through which he gained an understanding of many different aspects of the industry.

Through his formative years at Heriot Watt University in Scotland, Seanan continued to design and create fashion forward garments with deep foundations in the history of art and design. With a growing sense of artistic freedom in the latter years of university, the work of Seanan Collins continues to be a personal exploration of key elements of his heritage and interests culminating in Ascetic Ascension, his graduate collection, which explores the parallels of Himalayan faith systems and his own.
