Ascetic Ascension is a ready to wear A/W 17 collection which has been primarily inspired by a recent exploratory trip to Nepal, where whilst exposed to the elements, Seanan became inspired by the beauty of the surroundings and of the people he met and their faiths. The collection draws inspiration from the ascetic living conditions in the Himalayas and the emotive power and reverence that is emitted in an other worldly landscape which helps to focus the mind and directs you on the path to enlightenment. These inspirations have been intertwined with Seanan’s upbringing in rural, catholic Ireland where the rugged beauty of the landscape is symbolic of the rugged beauty of the faith itself. 

Ascetic Ascension is a collection of six outfits which explore the beauty of the Himalayas and the faiths that exist within them. The garments draw inspiration from the draped robes of religious figures in both the Buddhist, Hindu and Catholic faiths and combined with sharp tailoring and ascetic representative elements such as asymmetric details intertwined with artisanal woven fabrics in hues extracted from the kaleidoscopic panorama of the Himalayas.  

The collection acts as Seanan’s inauguration in to the fashion industry.
